Who is James McGrath and why does he have a website?
Hi,
My name is James McGrath and I'm a freelance journalist from the West Australian city of Perth. I'm just starting out in this crazy game but I'm having a lot of fun and I'm hoping to make this a career. On this site you'll find contact details for James McGrath but more importantly you'll find samples of work which should tell you all about who I am as a journalist and the qualities I can bring to your publication.
You'll find samples from my published work from here and overseas and you'll find some unpublished stuff which shows the type of writing I can bring to a vast area of subject matters and the flexibility I can provide as a journalist.
You'll find articles on multi-billion dollar mergers, German cinema, internet activism and indigenous health to name but a few subjects. You'll also find the words of praise which have beem 'heaped' upon me and a couple of staff commendations I've picked up along the way.
I hope you enjoy reading some of my stuff because in all honesty I had a blast writing them.
Cheers,
James McGrath
P.S - You can find my academic record here. (The relevant units are highlighted in yellow)
